Greeting and I hope that everyone is having a great 2010 thus far!  This year the TCHCC is looking forward to continuing to organize our successful events (like the Mariachi Festival and the Caliente Open) and sponsoring a number of professional development seminars for beginning business owners as well as larger and more well-established companies that are trying to find ways to better serve their Hispanic clientele.  In addition, the TCHCC is also going to work with private, educational, and non-profit organizations to provide additional services to help our members and the community as a whole.  For instance we are currently working with Columbia Basin College’s HUD-HSIAC grant initiative to work on Façade Improvements for downtown Pasco and we are also in conversations with a couple of individuals from the UW’s Michael G. Foster School of Business to bring back the “BEDC Business Certificate” that was offered in the fall and spring of 2009.

These are exciting times for both the Chamber and the entire Tri-Cities community and we are looking forward to working with our members and partners in order to better serve the business community in the area.

 Amicably,

Martin Valadez – TCHCC President
